Tips:
When smudged, can't hunt for 3 minutes instead of the normal 1.5 minutes.
Ghost Speed:
1.6 m/s (normal)
Hunts possible at:
50% team sanity
Test:
There is no good test for the Spirit, but when your team is at 0% sanity and the ghost is hunting constantly you can smudge the ghost and put a timer (when it was smudged, not when the hunt ends) and check if it will take less than 1:30 minutes to be able to start another hunt.
Evidence:
EMF 5
Spirit Box
Ghost Writing
Tips:
Can't leave footsteps. Be sure to only check for feet if you hear footsteps before assuming its a Wraith. It's possible the ghost doesn't move after stepping on salt.
Can teleport to your location and leave EMF 2 (or EMF 5). If an EMF 2/5 happens and you saw/heard nothing, start thinking Wraith.
Can teleport to you while using the music box.
Ghost Speed:
1.6 m/s (normal)
Hunts possible at:
50% team sanity
Test:
To test if it's a Wraith put salt on its room, wait for the Ghost to step on salt and walk, if there is no footprint it's 90% a Wraith (that 10% is a possibility to be a Mimic mimicking the Wraith at that moment, so be careful if you got Spirit Box, if you got Ghost Orb then it's a Mimic.)
Evidence:
EMF 5
Spirit Box
D.O.T.S Projector
Tips:
Will disappear when you take a photo.
Will blink or flash much less frequently during a hunt (it gets invisble for longer time during a hunt).
Ghost Speed:
1.6 m/s (normal)
Hunts possible at:
50% team sanity
Test:
There are two ways to see if it's a Phantom, when it does a ghost event try your best to take a picture of it, if the Ghost is not there but you see "ghost" on the album and there is no glitch effect, well... it's a Phantom. Also, if you took its photo during an event and the event didn't stop it is not a Phantom
The other way to test is by looking at it when it's hunting, if the Ghost gets invisible for too long it's a Phantom, at first will be hard to tell, but with some practice you will be able to tell the difference between a Phantom and other ghosts really easy.

Tips:
Can throw a bunch of things at once.
Can throw things at longer distance.
Has 100% chance of throwing objects at range durging a hunt every 0.5 seconds, while other ghosts has 50% chance.
Ghost Speed:
1.6 m/s (normal)
Hunts possible at:
50% team sanity
Test:
Poltergeist test is fun, you have to put many items in the middle of its room, if it throw all, or most, items at the same time, you know it's a Polter (remember, The Mimic, can mess up all tests that I show here).

Tips:
Can only kill one person who is the target at a time, that means if you are not the target you can walk directly to him and the Ghost will ignore you (good luck finding out if you are or not the target).
If the target is not in the house the Ghost will hunt normally being able to kill anyone it sees.
Hunts are based on the target's sanity instead of the average sanity like other ghosts.
More likely to do singing ghost events and will drain the target's sanity more when performing a ghost event on them.
Has a unique scream that can be heard with the parabolic microphone.
Ghost Speed:
1.6 m/s (normal)
Hunts possible at:
50% target player sanity (depends on the player)
Test:
Banshee test can be tricky, all living members of your team have to be inside the house you must pick one to be a bait, the bait should be the only one not hiding and is best to be in a place where is not normally where the ghost walk (for example behind the kitchen balcony on Willow Street) or a place where you can loop it, if the ghost completly ignores you, you can be sure it's a Banshee and you are not it's target (remember the Ghost may walk to you, but may not chase you). If it comes to you smudge it and get out. Then you can try again with another bait, the Banshee can only have one target and it doens't change unless the target died (if the target is outside the house the Banshee hunts like any other Ghost, chasing and killing anyone it sees).
Another test is using the Parabolic Microphone pointing it to the Ghost Room, you have a small chance of hearing the Banshee Scream.

Tips:
Can't turn off the breaker.
Will be faster while farther away when the breaker is on (if it is off Jinn can't use that abillity).
Has a random chance to drain 25% sanity with no visual or audio queues when you're close enough to it, this will also cause EMF to the breaker (the Jinn can also only use that ability if the breaker is on).
Ghost Speed:
2.5 m/s (fast) when far from player with the breaker on
1.6 when close (normal)
Hunts possible at:
50% team sanity
Test:
Jinn test is easy, turn on the breaker go to a place where you can loop, then watch it carefully, is the Ghost coming fast and then when it is close to you it slows down? It's a Jinn! If you are not sure try again with the breaker off and check if you still notice a different speed when it is close.
Check for EMF on the breaker, if it is beeping without being turned off or moved (the Ghost can move the new breaker) it is a Jinn.
If the Ghost turns off the breaker it isn't a Jinn.

Tips:
Can't turn on lights.
More likely to roam from rooms with lights on.
Can hunt earlier with the lights off and later with lights on.
More likely to explode lights.
Ghost Speed:
1.6 m/s (normal)
Hunts possible at:
60% team sanity if light off
40% team sanity if light on
Test:
Turn on the light of its room and see if it will burn crucifixes or hunting inside the room, if it hunts with the light on, it's not a Mare, if it turns the light off and then hunts or start a hunt outside the room where the light is off it's probably a Mare.

Tips:
Extremely fast when it has line of sight of a player, and will be extremely slow while it sees no one.
Ghost Speed:
1.1 m/s (very slow) if the ghost is not chasing
3.0 m/s (fastest ghost speed) if the ghost is chasing
Hunts possible at:
50% team sanity
Test:
Revenant for me is one of the most easy to tell, just wait for it to hunt and stay hidden, listen closely to it's steps, Revenant steps when it sees no one is EXTREMELY slow and easy to distinguish. You can also try to do the test again but this time letting it see you, but I won't recommend that since it will be EXTREMELY fast chasing you, even with a smudge ready you might miss it.

Tips:
Can't interact with anything or hunt when someone is in the same room (can start a hunt in a room where there's no one, even if it's not the Ghost Room).
More likely to do non-physical ghost events.
Shade will never appear in flesh during events and using the Summoning Circle and Music Box, only as shadow, translucent or gas.
Ghost Speed:
1.6 m/s (normal)
Hunts possible at:
35% team sanity
Test:
I like to say that, if the ghost is extremely boring, it is probably a Shade. If it isn't hunting and not doing anything you can get your people out of the house and let only one there, if it start interacting more is probably a Shade, also if it start hunts far from it's room when there are people there you can think Shade too. (Remember that Shade only start huntings at 35% sanity)

Tips:
Can rarely hunt at *any*% sanity.
When smudged, can't hunt for 1 minute instead of the normal 1.5 minutes.
Are affected by crucifixes from a much larger distance (5m instead the normal 3m).
Ghost Speed:
1.6 m/s (normal)
Hunts possible at:
70% team sanity
Chance of hunting at *any*% sanity
Test:
I don't think there's actually a test for Demon, well, if it start hunting when you just got in the house it's a Demon (or a Mimic, of course), also you can check if it eats crucifixes really fast, or is hunting constantly, it can be an indicative of a Demon.
Other way to know is if it start the hunt at the beggining go check your team sanity, if it is between 70% and 60% it's probably a Demon
You can smudge it and count if it'll hunt before 1.5 minutes

Tips:
Can close a door completely and it will drain of 15% sanity of nearby players.
Smudging will prevent roaming for 90 seconds (not during a hunt).
Ghost Speed:
1.6 m/s (normal)
Hunts possible at:
50% team sanity
Test:
Yurei can't leave the Ghost Room for 90 seconds after smudging, so use a Motion Sensor to check if it'll leave.
If you are not in Nighmare Mode you can check your sanity constantly, if it's dropping weirdly fast, you can suspect Yurei.
You can also pay close attention to doors, if there is a door completely open and the ghost closes it completely you can be sure it's a Yurei (again, it could be a Mimic).

Cannot do the hiss/"air ball" ghost event.
Makes players lose sanity faster when doing an Ghost Event.

Hunts possible at:
50% team sanity
Test:
I don't think there is a test for Oni, but you can suspect it's him if it is doing too much ghost events, specially at the beggining of the round.
Also, if it does the air ball event it's not an Oni.

50% team sanity
80% team sanity if talking near it
Test:
You and your team are talking too much in the Ghost Room and the ghost is mad? Might be a Yokai.
You can also test by calling it when it's hunting, if it is too dumb to find you it might be a Yokai. It's specially easy to test this on Willow Street, you have to stay behind the glass kitchen door and with your flashligh on, if your flahsligh is flashing and the ghost goes to the garage or elsere that is not to you, it's a Yokai.

Tips:
Can't turn on the breaker.
Twice as likely to turn off the breaker.
Does not speed up during hunts and can be looped in a warm room.
Always has freezing as evidence on Nightmare.
Can show freezing during a hunt.
Ghost Speed:
1.4 m/s (little slower) when in warm rooms (outside of the Ghost Room if the breaker is on)
2.7 m/s (fast) when in cold rooms (in the Ghost Room or when the breaker is off)
Hunts possible at:
50% team sanity
Test:
Is the ghost fast on its room but slows down when out of it (somewhere hot), it's a Hantu.
Another test is, let it chase you, if its speed didn't change while chasing, it's a Hantu
Evidence:

Tips:
Cannot perform a long roam, but can still roam.
Less likely to perform a short roam.
Doesn't show DOTS if anyone is in the same room as the ghost.
Goryo's DOTS only show up on video camera.
Always has DOTS evidence on nightmare.
Ghost Speed:
1.6 m/s (normal)
Hunts possible at:
50% team sanity
Test:
No D.O.T.S yet? Get everyone out of its room and check on the camera. Now you see D.O.T.S? It is (probably) a Goryo.
To be sure you must have someone by the door of the Ghost Room (but outside) and you look at the camera and your friend looks in person if only you saw the D.O.T.S then it's a Goryo, also if someone saw D.O.T.S in person you can take Goryo out of the list of suspects.

Tips:
More likely to make noises on the Parabolic Microphone.
The only noise quieter than other ghosts during a hunt is the footsteps.
Ghost Speed:
1.6 m/s (normal)
Hunts possible at:
50% team sanity
Test:
Listen closely to the ghost sound it makes during the hunt (footsteps and voice), it will be lower than other ghosts.
Another way to tell is by dropping a flashligh on by your hiding spot and pay attention if you can only hear the footsteps when the flashligh is flashing. With other ghosts you will be able to hear the footsteps first. (take into account that you can hear footsteps if the ghost is on other floor but the equipment won't beep if the ghost is not on the same floor).

Tips:
More likely to blow out candles.
After 3 candles have been blown out, each consecutive blown out candle has a 50% chance to start a hunt regardeless of sanity.
Each dead player increases the chance to hunt after blowing out candles by 25%, that means if 2 players are dead the chance is 100% of a hunt after a blown out candle.
Candles work similarly to crucifixes, it will be blown if Onryo tries to hunt and block his hunt (candles take priority than crucifixes).
Ghost Speed:
1.6 m/s (normal)
Hunts possible at:

Test:
Put a candle on top of a Crucifix, if the crucifix burnt without the candle being blown it's definitely not a Onryo.

Tips:
One ghost, but has a decoy that can interact and hunt far from the Ghost Room.
The second twin will hunt on the last 'twinteraction' so where the ghost interacted with far from the Ghost Rasoom.
The main twin will have 90% ghost speed while the other will have 110% ghost speed.
Crucifixes only need to be placed where the main twin is.
Can do a double interaction
Will often leave "slope changing" lines on the activity chart. If the lines changes slopes without leveling off it's almost always The Twins.
Ghost Speed:
1.4 m/s (little slower) when it's the main twin huntint
1.7 (little faster) when it's the second twin hunting
Hunts possible at:
50% team sanity
Test:
Pay attention to the ghost speed every hunt, if you notice that sometimes it's a little bit slower than normal and sometimes is a little bit faster than normal, it's a twins.
Twins is pretty easy to distinguish from other Ghosts in my opnion, if hear two things being interacted at once (2 cups being thrown or a cup and a door moving, etc) it's The Twins. Be careful to not mistake it to a very active Ghost.
Evidence:
EMF 5

Tips:
Can hunt at 65% sanity when there is active eletronic equipment nearby.
Also much faster when active eletronic equipment is nearby.
Causing glitching of all eletronic equipment in a larger range.
Building's lights and the breaker do not affect the Raiju.
Ghost Speed:
1.6 m/s (normal) when no turned on equipment is close to it
2.5 m/s (fast) when turned on equipment is close to it
Hunts possible at:
50% team sanity when no turned on equipment close
65% team sanity when turned on equipment is close
Test:
Drop some equipment close to your hiding spot, if when the equipment starts beeping at the hunt and the ghost gets faster you can know it's a Raiju. Just be careful if the ghost is already fast because there is some equipment where it is.
A better and safer way to test is, let it hunt with all equipments on (careful to not die, since Raiju is extremely fast when there is equipment on), then, turn all the equipments off and check if the ghost speed decreased on the next hunt.

25% chance to not leave fingerprints on anything.
1/6 chance to leave a special fingerprint with an extra finger.
Can use an ability to reduce the timer for all fingerprints, causing them to disappear more quickly.
Always has fingerprints on Nightmare
Ghost Speed:
1.6 m/s (normal)
Hunts possible at:

Test:
Check every fingerprint, if there is a hand with 6 fingers, it's an Obake (remember, can always be a Mimic).
Also, fingerprints are 100% chance of showing except for Obake, which is 75% so if there's no fingerprint after touching something and then it appears later, it is a Obake. Be sure to check for fingerprint the moment it touches something since Obake has an ability to eraese fingerprints fast.

Tips:
Can mimic any ghost, including The Mimic (if it does that it will be a normal ghost with no special traits).
Can perform any special ability of any ghost it mimics.
Will change the mimicking ghost type between every 30 seconds to 2 minutes, but never during a hunt.
You can see orbs when the ghost is a mimic even though it doesn't have that as evidence.
Always has "fake" orbs on Nightmare.
Ghost Speed:
Depends on what Ghost it is mimicking
Hunts possible at:
Depends on what Ghost it is mimicking
Test:
If the ghost is changing behaviour too much (is extremely fast one hunt, then slow, then fast again) you can suspect Mimic. Also, if it has, for example, Freezing Temperatures and a 6 finger fingerprint, it's a Mimic that is mimicking the Obake.
If there is 4 evidences (or 3 in Nighmare Mode) it's a Mimic.

Tips:
Curses players who use and get an answer from the Sipirt Box or Parabolic Microphone. This is cured by taking sanity pills.
Passive sanity drain is doubled when cursed and will still drain when inside rooms with lights on.
Faster when the average sanity is lower.
Smudging during a hunt will repel the Moroi for twice as long (12s instead of the normal 6s).
Always has Spirit Box as evidence on Nightmare.
Ghost Speed:
Starts at 1.4 m/s (little slow)
Gradually reach 2.1 m/s (kinda fast) the lower the team sanity is
Hunts possible at:
45% team sanity
Test:
First test is, did the Ghost answered someone on Spirit Box? Check it's sanity, if it lows down fast it's an Moroi.
Second test is, when it first hunts, check the ghost speed. Than get your team sanity lower and let it hunt again, check if it got faster, if it did, it's an Moroi. If you didn't pay attention to the speed when your team had sanity, just take some pills and let it hunt, then check if it became slower.
You may not know what are the normal ghost speed, so at least try to identify if it is getting different, most ghosts have a constant ghost speed.

Tips:
Will be very fast when far away, but will be the slowest ghost when close.
You can't hide from him, you have to run or just walk, it's easy because it will be extremely slow when close.
Has a 33% chance to perform a special Spirit Box sound when asked any question and when you are very close (like in his exact same position it sounds like a heavy breathing.
Blinks very quickly during hunts, it means is very visible.
Always has Spirit Box as evidence on Nightmare.
Ghost Speed:
0.4 m/s (slowest ghost) when close to player
3 m/s (fastest ghost) when far to player
Hunts possible at:
40% team sanity
Test:
Did the ghost went directly and killed your friend that was hiding? Was the Ghost really fast and then suddenly really slow? Did your friend yelled "It's a fucking Deogen"? well, it's a Deogen.
Deogen test is, don't hide, stay in an open area where you have space to loop it (or at least walk around the house), let it come to you, I know, it will be fast and scary, but have faith it will stop, if the ghost did slow extremely down, just keep going backwards or looping and it will never catch you, then you will be sure it's a Deogen. If it doesn't slow down, smudge the hell out.
Another test is, put some salt in the room, the Ghost will walk on it, follow the Footprint, when it stops you use a Spirit Box. You might hear the special Deogen Spirit Box sound.

Thaye is the Aging Ghost, it will begin as an extremelly OP Ghost, but will gradually become a weak Ghost because it will age.
Has a chance to age every 1 to 2 minutes and every 30 seconds if the previous aging attempt failed. Aging succeeds if a player is near the ghost when it attempts to age.
Can age up to 10 times.
When asking thw Ouija Board the Thaye's age, the responde will increase as the Thaye ages.
Ghost Speed:
Start at 2.7 m/s (very fast)
Gradually reach 1.0 (very slow) as the match goes
Hunts possible at:
Starts at 75% team sanity
Gradually reach at 35% team sanity as the match goes
Test:
Always pay attention to ghost speed at the very first hunt, if it's really fast, but it is slowing down after some hunts, it's a Thaye. (It will only slow down by time and if there is someone on it's room, if you and your team are usually outside it will age slower, therefore it will be slower to get to a slower ghost speed).
